Assault of new technologies or new applications at the 11th edition held in London at the beginning of October!
There are more and more suppliers of in-vehicle parking meters, the payment of parking by mobile phone is developing, etc. But the presentation that struck us the most was the one presenting the parking control system implemented in Vancouver. It is an integrated, highly automated and real-time system. The agents in the field are equipped with a pocket computer establishing wireless links with a portable printer for issuing the “ticket” (PV) on the one hand and a central server on the other. The latter also communicates directly with the resident permit file, the police, the stolen car file, removal companies, etc. Needless to say that a possible recurrence is detected without delay and the immediate sanction!
