On June 21 and 22, 2017, you came to meet us at the Parkopolis Fair.
On our stand, one of the key topics of the moment was the link between parking policy and the decriminalization of paid on-street parking .
At the round table " Parking of motorized two-wheelers, specific expectations and constraints ", Thierry Delvaux presented the results of a study on the parking of 2WDs and bicycles on the roads of La Garenne Colombes ( see the slideshow - 2640 kb ).
Then he added a quick comparison between PTWs and bicycles, noting in particular that:
- The residential bicycle fleet is more than 10 times greater than that of motorcycles and scooters.
- 50% of PTWs spend the night on the road, compared to 1% of bicycles.
- During the day, the number of PTWs parked on the road increased by 10% but the number of parked bicycles doubled.
