TSAR : T axing parking as an aid to urban relocation

 

How to control urban sprawl while sustainably financing public transport? parking management is proving to be an effective lever for urban relocation.

 

 

Sareco has developed an original scenario based on targeted parking taxation in large cities. Based on interviews with 700 Nantes households, the TSAR research shows that it is possible to modify the perception of distances in conurbations, and to acquire a powerful lever to promote urban centralities. This new concept is a positive alternative to the centrifugal effect of congestion charging. The full report can be downloaded below.
