Park-and-ride

Park and rides are tools enabling a local authority to orient mobility practices within its territory.

They essentially aim to reduce the share of journeys made by car in favor of those made by urban transport. However, they increasingly welcome cyclists, with the combination of bicycles and urban transport replacing the car entirely.

Located on the outskirts of the agglomeration but mainly serving the city centre, they are at the heart of many political, environmental, technical and financial issues.

Content of the missions

We intervene by carrying out studies:
  • definition of a drawdown at the scale of the agglomeration;
  • opportunity and sizing of a park and ride or its extension;
  • definition of the operation and management mode; estimation of operating income and expenses;
  • definition of the parking policy around the P+R.

Park and rides are tools enabling a local authority to orient mobility practices within its territory.

Stations are important poles of attraction. The organization of associated parking thus presents a particular challenge, which can include up to several thousand spaces in the largest French stations.
