Participation of Sareco in the Bat'im Club Meetings "Habitat, mobility and parking"
October 21, 2018
parking meetings were held on November 14, 2018 in Paris.
Éric Gantelet spoke on the theme “Parking design and programming on a neighborhood scale – the case of neighborhoods undergoing urban renewal”.
He developed Sareco's approach to parking management in NPRU projects, proven many times in his studies, highlighting the need for:
- act on parking - a powerful lever to guide mobility practices
- to examine this question not on the scale of the building but of the district by making a precise diagnosis of the existing
- to carry out “inter-donor” reflections
- promote diversity in car parks when possible (more often than you might think…)
- to act on the often underused bicycle
Finally, Éric Gantelet described the economics of social housing parking. This is structurally deficit as soon as the work is under way: in this context, acting to reduce the number of cars owned by residents is financially effective, including for landlords (possible implementation of car-sharing vehicles for example ) .
