The reform of paid parking as seen by Ile-de-France Mobilités
September 23, 2017
The PDUIF price recommendations for parking , post-parking package (FPS) included .
To breathe new life into the PDUIF, Ile-de-France Mobilités (formerly STIF ) is developing a roadmap for the years 2017 to 2020. This will constitute a framework document for all mobility stakeholders. It will make it possible to consolidate the actions initially included in the PDUIF, which need to be continued, reinforced or adapted.
In this context, Sareco supported Ile-de-France Mobilités in defining recommendations relating to the regulation of on-street parking. These recommendations fit into the specific context of the decentralization- decriminalization reform of paid parking which will come into force on 1 January 2018.
These recommendations aim to:
- promote more sustainable mobility and improve the functioning of public space, through the development of paid parking
- find more territorial coherence, by proposing minimum reference tariffs by type of territory and regulations
- help local authorities in the development of their parking policy and the implementation of the reform
