Term Definition
Commercial Garage
A parking lot not exclusively dedicated to a specific generator , built to serve the surrounding neighborhood, unlike a private garage which serves only a single building. It may offer spaces for sale, rent , or subscription to regular neighborhood residents, and/or for periods ranging from fifteen minutes to a few days for occasional visitors.
Generator
A facility or building which, due to its usage, generates a demand for parking. See also Generation Zone.
GIC-GIG

Severely disabled civilian and severely disabled war veteran (obsolete designations). See Disabled Persons Parking Permit and CMI.

Price list
A comprehensive list of rates offered for a parking facility, detailing the pricing applied according to the duration of parking, the day(s) of parking, usage, or vehicle type. See also Pricing Act.
Guidance in place
A typically illuminated device that allows a driver to identify and thus directly access available parking spaces. Currently being progressively deployed in multi-story car parks, this system is beginning to be implemented on public roads. See also Signage.
